United Commercial Development (UCD) is a commercial real estate development company specializing in grocery-anchored shopping centers. We have acquired or developed approximately five million square feet of retail shopping centers since our founding. UCD was founded in 1988 by David Dunning. In 2013, the company was purchased by Robert Dorazil and Cliff Henderson, and is now owned by Robert Dorazil, Cliff & Grant Henderson (LCG Capital) of Dallas and Dominique & Raphael Blieck of Belgium.
UCD is the most active grocery-anchored shopping center developer in the DFW Metroplex and one of the most active grocery-anchored shopping center developers in the entire country. Over the last fifteen years, we have developed twelve shopping centers with grocers Kroger, HEB, Walmart, Market Street and Aldi. We have also represented some of these grocers in a brokerage and consulting capacity in numerous land transactions and assistance with entitlements.
We are a trusted developer for many of the largest non-grocery retailers in the country including Chick-Fil-A, McDonald’s, Chipotle, Whataburger, Starbucks, CavaGrill, LA Fitness, Ulta, TJ Maxx, Home Depot, Pet Supplies Plus, Academy Sports, and more.
UCD is especially proud of its joint venture partnerships with The Kroenke Group, The Kroger Company, North American Development Group, BAM Capital, Rainier Capital, LCG Capital(Cliff & Grant Henderson), Custerado (Dominique & Raphael Blieck), Leadership Properties (Bill & BJ Martin) and Legacy Capital Corporation (Steve Saxon & Peter Aberg).
